Mobs with color. A primary set and some alternates. I think I’ve got a good method of coloring my base paints now.
Seriously, if you’re a pixel artist, noise filters are a fantastic tool to speed up your process. Need a chipboard texture? Choose the wood color, add noise, scrunch it, then stretch it. Boom, wonderful chipboard texture.
Don’t waste your time (aka your life) individually pixeling a dumb wood texture/dirt texuture/etc.
